A flavorful and hearty breakfast casserole made with buttery croissants, shredded chicken, eggs, and melty cheese. Perfect for holidays, brunches, or prepping ahead for busy mornings.

4 croissants, torn into chunks
2–2½ cups cooked shredded chicken
8 large eggs
2 cups whole milk or half-and-half
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 green onions, chopped
Butter or spray for greasing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Layer croissant pieces in the bottom of the dish.

  • Add shredded chicken evenly over croissants.

  • Sprinkle with most of the cheese and green onions.

  • Whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Pour egg mixture over the casserole and gently press down.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Remove foil, add remaining cheese, and bake for 15–20 minutes more.

  • Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
