A flavorful and hearty breakfast casserole made with buttery croissants, shredded chicken, eggs, and melty cheese. Perfect for holidays, brunches, or prepping ahead for busy mornings.
4 croissants, torn into chunks
2–2½ cups cooked shredded chicken
8 large eggs
2 cups whole milk or half-and-half
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 green onions, chopped
Butter or spray for greasing
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer croissant pieces in the bottom of the dish.
Add shredded chicken evenly over croissants.
Sprinkle with most of the cheese and green onions.
Whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Pour egg mixture over the casserole and gently press down.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil, add remaining cheese, and bake for 15–20 minutes more.
Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
