This cheesy, savory skillet dish features crispy potatoes, smoky sausage, and ranch seasoning all topped with melty cheddar. A quick and hearty one-pan meal.

  • 1.5 lbs potatoes (gold or russet), diced

  • 14 oz smoked sausage, sliced into rounds

  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning (1 oz)

  • 1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Green onions or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Microwave or boil diced potatoes for 5–7 minutes until just tender. Drain.

  • Heat oil in a large skillet. Cook sausage slices until browned, then set aside.

  • Add more oil if needed. Sauté potatoes with half the ranch seasoning until crispy, about 10–12 minutes.

  • Return sausage to the pan. Add remaining ranch mix and stir to combine.

  • Top with shredded cheese. Cover and cook 2–3 minutes until melted.

  • Garnish with green onions or parsley and serve hot.
