A fast and flavorful one-skillet meal made with taco-seasoned beef, beans, cheese, and crispy tortilla chips—perfect for busy nights or easy entertaining.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tbsp homemade
1/3 cup water
1 cup salsa or tomato sauce
1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
2 cups tortilla chips, lightly crushed
1½ cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sour cream, avocado, cilantro, green onions

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  • Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

  • Mix in salsa and black beans. Cook for 3–5 minutes.

  • Reduce heat and fold in some crushed tortilla chips.

  • Top with shredded cheese and melt using a lid or broiler.

  • Garnish with toppings and serve hot.
