A fast and flavorful one-skillet meal made with taco-seasoned beef, beans, cheese, and crispy tortilla chips—perfect for busy nights or easy entertaining.
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tbsp homemade
1/3 cup water
1 cup salsa or tomato sauce
1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
2 cups tortilla chips, lightly crushed
1½ cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sour cream, avocado, cilantro, green onions
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Mix in salsa and black beans. Cook for 3–5 minutes.
Reduce heat and fold in some crushed tortilla chips.
Top with shredded cheese and melt using a lid or broiler.
Garnish with toppings and serve hot.
