Creamy Pesto Mozzarella Chicken Bake features tender chicken smothered in a rich sauce made from basil pesto, cream, and cheese, then baked to golden perfection with a melty mozzarella and Parmesan topping.
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3/4 cup basil pesto
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes, fresh basil for garnish
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Place chicken in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Mix pesto, cream cheese, and heavy cream until smooth.
Pour sauce over the chicken.
Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Uncover and bake for 15–20 more minutes until bubbly and chicken is cooked through.
Broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden top, if desired.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with basil.
