Creamy Pesto Mozzarella Chicken Bake features tender chicken smothered in a rich sauce made from basil pesto, cream, and cheese, then baked to golden perfection with a melty mozzarella and Parmesan topping.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3/4 cup basil pesto
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes, fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Place chicken in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Mix pesto, cream cheese, and heavy cream until smooth.

  • Pour sauce over the chicken.

  • Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

  • Uncover and bake for 15–20 more minutes until bubbly and chicken is cooked through.

  • Broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden top, if desired.

  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with basil.
