This tater tot casserole is the ultimate comfort food—layers of seasoned ground beef, creamy sauce, vegetables, melted cheese, and crispy tater tots baked to perfection.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 small yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 (2832 oz) bag frozen tater tots
Salt and pepper to taste
Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.

  • Add onion and garlic. Cook 3–4 minutes until soft.

  • Stir in soup and frozen vegetables. Cook 3–5 minutes.

  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  • Spread mixture in the baking dish. Top with shredded cheese.

  • Arrange frozen tater tots evenly over the top.

  • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.

  • Rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
